With the relocation of the capital to Heijo-kyo, ice ponds and chambers were built in Kasugano, and a ritual was held to curse the summer weather, which was important for rice cultivation. During the ice offering ceremony, a one-meter high icicle containing carp and tai is offered to the gods.
The omikuji at Himuro Shrine is called "Kori-mikuji," after the god of ice.
The fee is 200 yen.By placing a blank piece of fortune paper on the ice, the characters will appear.
It's an exciting way to see what's written on the paper...
