Pedestrian detection and warning (Night View Assist Plus) in Mercedes-Benz S Class

In the dark Night View Assist Plus with Multibeam LED in Mercedes-Benz S Class enables the driver to recognise pedestrians and larger animals at an earlier stage with the help of infra-red light and a thermal imaging camera. The instrument display automatically switches over to a night vision image, highlighting sources of danger to make them clearly visible. In addition a spotlight function can be used to flash a light at them.
