Using the Rich Content Editor in Canvas

In this video, we explore the Rich Content Editor (RCE) in Canvas—the tool you’ll use to build nearly everything in your course.

I walk through how to format text (headings, bold, color, size), embed images and videos, create links, build tables, and insert horizontal lines for visual organization. We also look at embedding interactive media, recording audio/video directly in Canvas, and using the Equation Editor for STEM content.

The RCE is where clarity and design meet instruction. The better you understand it, the more polished, accessible, and student-friendly your course will be.
