Netflix Plunges, Micron Rises, Sweetgreen Mixed on Parasite Outbreak Tied to Produce | Stock Movers

On this episode of Stock Movers:
- Netflix (NFLX) shares fell after the company forecast a second consecutive quarter of slowing sales growth, contributing to investor anxiety about the streaming giant’s future. The company projected revenue of $12.9 billion in the current quarter and earnings of 82 cents a share, both a little shy of analysts’ expectations.
- Micron (MU) shares rise. The flush out of chip stocks is letting up, with the Philadelphia Stock Exchange Semiconductor index at session highs, trimming declines to less than 2%. The bearish case on the sector is missing the earnings component for a lasting fundamental reset. In the absence of such evidence, chips will quickly start becoming an attractive buy --- but a solid rebounds still needs confirmation from hyperscaler earnings in the coming days.
- Sweetgreen (SG) shares are mixed. Sweetgreen Inc. has lost more than a quarter of its market value in four days due to fears about outbreak of cyclosporiasis. Shares are down near 26% this week, putting them on track for their worst week since May 2025, and have fallen as much as 8.5% on Thursday.
