Mullet growth story + DIY Hair cut, bleach, and dye at home

Products used:

To bleach roots:
- Ion Ammonia-Free Powder Lightener
- Ion vol 30 developer
Details on how I bleach hair in my silver hair tutorial.

1) smoky teal:
- Ion Brights Semi Permanent Hair Color Aqua
- Ion Semi Permanent Blackest Black
- any white conditioner
Notes: If you want to use these exact dyes to get this colour, you want to dilute them with A LOT of conditioner, much more than what's shown in video (I didn't have the footage of me diluting the dye)

2) violet grey:
- Ion Brights Semi Permanent Hair Color Purple
- Special Effects Semi Permanent Hair Color Atomic Pink
- any white conditioner
Notes: My hair faded to light green from the last hair color, so this is the base we're working with. We want to make a diluted pinkish purple dye mixture. Using the fact that red and green are complementary colours, pinkish purple dye applied on top of green hair will result in grey with a tint of purple.

3) bright green:
- Beyond the Zone Color Bombz Temporary Hair Color Spray Zoner Green
Notes: This spray is pigmented enough to work on black hair. You can see how it showed up on my black roots.

4) pastel purple to pink gradient:
On roots:
- Ion Brights Semi Permanent Hair Color Purple
- Special Effects Semi Permanent Hair Color Atomic Pink
- Special Effects Semi Permanent Hair Color (one of the blues I don't remember exactly which one)

On rest of the hair:
- Ion Brights Semi Permanent Hair Color Titanium
- Special Effects Semi Permanent Hair Color Atomic Pink
- any white conditioner

Notes: If you want a pastel pink that doesn't fade, atomic pink is the way to go. It REALLY stains your hair. I never touched up the pink colour, yet my hair still had a tint of pink three months later.

5) plum:
- Ion Master Colorist Series Permanent Creme Hair Color Chrome
- Ion Intensive Shine Demi Permanent Creme Hair Color Intense Violet
- vol. 10 developer
Notes: I was aiming for muted purple but the Intense Violet dye is much more pigmented than I imagined. If I were to do this again, I would only put tiny amount of the violet dye.
