原博は本邦の作曲家の中でも特異な位置にあった一人である。
バッハやモーツアルトの語法に強く影響され、それらのスタイルで再作曲するという作風を採用するなどしたことで楽壇からは冷たく扱われ、正当な評価を受けなかったと言う意見もある。
しかしその語法と技術の水準は非常に高く、またそこまで極端な古典主義者ではなく、ちゃんと丁寧にモダニズムを取り込んでもいた。
原博は1933年に生まれ、東京藝術大学に進学、池内友次郎に支持した後、渡仏しパリ国立高等音楽院でシモーヌ・プレ＝コサード、ジャン・リヴィエに師事した。
さらにニースではアレクサンドル・チェレプニンとアンリ・デュティユーにも師事するなど多くの語法を学んだことがわかる。
しかし作風は確かにフランス的なモダニズムの影はあるが、基本的には厳密で極めて巧みな対位法によるところが大きく、代表作であるピアノ・ソナタのシリーズや、交響曲でもそういった姿がはっきりと感じ取れる。
今回紹介するピアノの小品は、シャコンヌの形式を自由に捉え、定旋律が繰り返されるごとに変奏が加えられ、最後はカオスに至るという中々に面白いアイディアで書かれている。
その中に創造的なイディオムがあるかどうかは議論があるところではあるが、作曲の学習者にはとても良い勉強になる曲であり、また演奏効果も悪くないものと思う。
2002年、やや冷遇された彼はなくなったが、今後正当な再評価がなされることを願い本曲を紹介したい。

Hiroshi Hara was one of the most unique composers in Japan.
Some say that he was not given a fair evaluation because he was strongly influenced by the language of Bach and Mozart and adopted a style of recomposing music in their styles.
However, the standard of his technique and technique was very high, and he was not an extreme classicist, but rather a careful modernist.
After studying under Tomojiro Ikenouchi at Tokyo University of the Arts, he went to France to study under Simone Pré-Cossard and Jean Rivier at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris.
He also studied under Alexandre Tcherepnin and Henri Dutilleux in Nice, indicating that he studied many languages.
Although there are shades of French modernism in his compositions, they are basically based on strict and extremely skillful counterpoint, which can be clearly seen in the series of piano sonatas and symphonies that are his representative works.
The piano piece presented here is written with a free take on the chaconne form, with a moderately interesting idea in which a variation is added after each repetition of a fixed melody, culminating in chaos.
Whether or not there is a creative idiom in it is a matter of debate, but it is a very good study piece for students of composition, and the performance effect is not bad.
He passed away in 2002, somewhat coldly, but I would like to introduce this piece in the hope that it will receive a just reappraisal in the future.
