Leon Tarasewicz (b. March 14, 1957 in Waliły ) - Polish artist of Belarusian origin, a professor of fine arts (2011) .
A graduate of the School of Art in Supra , and then the Department of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in the studio of Tadeusz Dominik (diploma received in 1984). Since 1996, he led the welcoming painting workshop at the same university. Space currently teaches painting at the Faculty of Media Art and Stage Design.
Cooperates with Warsaw Foksal Gallery , Poznan Ego Gallery , and Lublin White Gallery . In 2008 he was Ambassador of the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue .
Belarus emphasizes his roots and is active in the field of culture of this minority in Poland.
The most comprehensive bibliography of publications devoted to him (and filmography) contains a directory of exposure in the Ujazdowski Castle in 2003 .
Painter is an admirer of birds. Including breeding Decorative chicken (also co-authored a book on them), pigeons and pheasants .
