NAMM 2021: Kirk Douglas Signature Gibson SG

As the guitarist with The Roots, the house band for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, "Captain" Kirk Douglas has a reputation as a stellar player. He owns several Gibsons, including his Gibson™ SG™ Custom, which is commemorated in the new Kirk Douglas signature SG from Gibson USA. Featuring a mahogany neck and body, rosewood fretboard, a Kirk Douglas signature "Captain" Lyre Vibrola tailpiece, and three BurstBucker™ humbucking pickups. The versatile controls operate similarly to a two-pickup SG but with added capabilities. The three-way toggle switch selects the bridge pickup, neck pickup, or both. Each has a volume control with a push/pull pot that switches the pickup from humbucker to single coil when it's pulled out. There's a master tone knob, and instead of a second tone control, another volume control (again, with coil-splitting) is installed for the middle pickup and can be used to blend its signal with the other pickups. You can run the pickups individually, simultaneously, or in any combination. The output level of the entire guitar is adjustable with the pickguard-mounted master volume control.
