Wedge Plow March 2021

After a brutal winter with 56 inches of snow (normal is 33) and several days where temperature was below zero all day (including one to -22F), spring arrived. A plow extra was called and opened the mainline. Snow had high moisture content in several locations and required several bucks to get through. The patterns of the snow coming off the wedge are interesting. They varied by snow depth and train speed.
With all the snow cover, track came through the winter in very good condition. 2021 will be a great steam year. Website has scheduled dates, but there will be others. We should have six steam locomotives running this year.
