Wyze Video Doorbell has a Secret MicroUSB Port - The discovery and alternative new potential uses

The Wyze Video Doorbell can “unofficially” be run off a MicroUSB just like there rest of their cameras. There is a plug hidden on the back, underneath a sticker which makes the port available. What did they plan for this port? Who knows - I’m going to present you with a few use cases where this makes more sense.

AND - anywhere you have a MicroUSB port, you now have the option to use your video doorbell.

I’m guessing this doesn’t make it water-resistant and several other drawbacks, but it actually seems to have fixed my audio intercom issue when running on USB instead of the 16V transformer.
