Why I've Been So Inconsistent **SENSITIVE TOPICS TRIGGER WARNING**
This is the hardest video I've ever made - so thank you for taking the time to watch. I forgot to add in the photos of my injuries, but you can see them in the GoFundMe linked below.
GoFundMe Link: https://gofund.me/debfc8bf
The first 2 weeks after February 28th were a whirlwind of me staying between friends' places and some free nights at the hotel I work part time for (a big thank you to all of them!) as there was no protective order in place then, but, thankfully, I was granted my order last Monday, the 18th and am now safe to be in my parents' house as he is not allowed back for one year.
I am currently on a temporary leave of absence from my full time job due to dealing with court proceedings, doctors' visits, and the brunt of the mental trauma. It is, however, extremely difficult to try and heal from all he's done while still living in his home.
That's why I have started the GoFundMe to help me both move out and to help my mom with bills that have fallen severely behind due to my "dad's" drug habit.
The breakdown of what the funds will be used for include:
- Application Fees
- Rent
- Utilities
- Furnishings
- Unpaid Bills
Here's the link again: https://gofund.me/debfc8bf
Anything you can donate would be a huge blessing even if that's simply sharing this video to help reach my goal or leaving a kind, encouraging comment (I can use all of them I can get).
If you are someone who's went through or currently is going through a similar situation, I am so sorry and please GET HELP. Below are resources I've used the past month to help me:
911 - Report What's Happened to You - You Matter!
Safe Alliance (Saves Women & Children from Assault, Abuse & Homelessness) - https://www.safealliance.org/
Take Back the Night (Movement against Sexual Violence) - https://takebackthenight.org/
Friends, Family, Coworkers, and Supervisors - Tell whoever you trust, needs to know, and who will support you.
Thank you so much for being my community - I will keep you updated
