Unveiling My Unbaptized Experience as a Jehovah's Witness: Navigating Identity and Belonging

Dom grew up as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. At age 13, he knew that something was not right with the religion and he was not interested in joining the group.
He was forced to live in two different worlds, one with his Jehovah's Witness mother and another with his non-Jehovah's Witness father. It was a bit confusing living in both worlds and at times made no sense. Nevertheless, Dom stated that during his upbringing, he was not being groomed for real world living.
He didn't get the opportunity to go to the University because he was not able to create a plan for his future. Instead of studying about math and science he was too busy learning about Moses living in the wilderness.
He was later diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, something that he believes is the result of being brought up as a Jehovah's Witness. He's interested in speaking with others about his life experience. As he states during the interview, if he can help at least one person, he feels that he is doing something good.
