This is a brief overview of heat pump thermostat wiring. Always refer to your instructions when wiring up a system to ensure you are wiring to the manufactures requirements. This video is intended to help you understand how basic heat pump systems are wired.
***YOU MAY SPLIT UP THE W1-W2-AND W3 TO STAGE ON THE BACKUP STRIP HEAT. AS LONG AS YOU HAVE A 3-4 STAGE THERMOSTAT.
