In this video, I'm going to explain common mistakes people make when doing squats and lunges that can actually make their knee pain worse, not better.
Many people are told that squats and lunges are great for strengthening the knees and legs, but in our clinic, I've often seen clients whose knee pain doesn't improve or even gets worse from doing these exercises. The main reason for this is improper form, specifically a lack of activation in the muscles of the pelvis, especially the glutes.
I'll show you the visible signs to look for that indicate your glutes aren't firing properly during squats and lunges, and I'll share some tips on how to correct this issue. Proper glute activation is key to getting the full benefits of these exercises without aggravating your knees.
