How To Separate a Stuck Fly Rod (3 Methods That Work)

If you’ve ever had a fly rod ferrule get stuck, you know how frustrating it can be. In this video, I walk through the three methods I use to separate a stuck fly rod without damaging the rod or risking a broken section.

I demonstrate each method in the order that I use them depending on how badly the rod is stuck:

🎣 Masking Tape Method

These techniques have helped me get apart everything from mildly stuck ferrules to rods that felt completely locked up.
