As a child, Janine (Yesha Camile) wants nothing more but to achieve her dream to become a famous singer. With the support of her mother Salem (Jenine Desiderio), Janine participates in as many singing competitions as she can. However, success remains elusive for Janine. Soon after, Janine starts to realize that her relentless pursuit of her dream is starting to have a negative effect on her family. However, Janine refuses to give up as she keeps in mind her mother's words — "Quitters never win."
