Learn my favourite Chess opening in 10 minutes

My ace opening is the somewhat underated Scotch Game: Goring Gambit, Double Pawn Sacrifice Variation (1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. d4 exd4 4. c3 dxc3 5. Bc4 cxb2 6. Bxb2).

It's a fun, aggressive and tactical opening full of tricks that even stronger players struggle to avoid. I used to play the normal Scotch Game, but everybody expects that, so I dug a little bit and found this slightly rarer way to play without risking any advantage. It's one of my best chess openings to win games, even against much higher rated opponents.

I make use of Lichess' Player Database, specifically from 1800 elo and higher for the time controls Blitz, Rapid and Classical Chess. Using move popularity, I explain the most common lines you'd most likely face and how to punish early mistakes. I do NOT necessarily go over the best responses from the opponents, but rather the most popular.

As with all openings, the opponent can always play differently. This doesn't guarantee a win either. I am aware that there are much more variations, like the Ponziani and the Goring Gambit Declined. Sadly I can't cover every single thing in one video.

Slightly irrelevant: On Lichess after my 9th move, my win rate is 91%.
