“I don’t see myself as a mum to these kids, they have parents caring for them. So I am here to fill that gap, provide temporary support, provide a safe place for this child to be, love them and nurture them, and then send them back to their homes with the best hugs and wishes.”

Originally from the U.S. Virgin Islands, Roma Goodlander moved to Singapore in 2013. A mum of two herself, she started volunteering with Sanctuary Care in 2018 as a respite carer, opening her home and heart to kids from families who need temporary support.
