Wildlife Photography- A Scratch Build Bird Bath, a Photo Blind, and an Unexpected Bird!

While participating in Wisconsin's "Safer at Home", I built a back yard bird bath "studio" out of a construction grade lid from a storage bin. I placed the bath under a favorite tamarack tree (planted in 2004), and I set up a photo blind about 10 feet (3 meters) away. I only spent a couple of hours in the blind, but the results were better than I anticipated. During Spring migration, I suppose just about anything is possible, but I was really surprised at my most photogenic and cooperative "guest". Landscaping for wildlife and providing a source of water can be very important for migrant and resident birds. This video offers some insight into my own efforts to provide for the birds and opportunities for bird photography!
