Xbox elite controller series 2 stick drift fix (permanent)

One of the most dreaded common issues with these controllers are the stick drift on the left analog stick! I’ve watched all the YouTube videos explaining fixes and I tried them all but they were temporarily fixing the problem. I took apart the faceplate and I used a flat head to pop the sensor on the right side of the analog stick, I then used a pick to take out the sensor plate out of the green cradle and saw that the metal springs on the back was deformed and I figured that’s what was causing my issues. I had an extra junk Xbox controller and took the same sensor out and replaced them. I haven’t had an issue since then. When replacing its best to check out the Xbox accessories app to give your self a reference of how the controller is responding. If at any point you you touch or remove the sensor and it gives you any continuous input in either direction try spinning the sensor in the cradle in either direction until it levels out.
