#51 '79 Cessna 182 King Katmai by Peterson - Flying Napa to Long Beach

This week we have this beautiful 1979 Cessna 182 with the King Katmai STC by Peterson for you. We had to fly up from Long Beach to Oakland on Southwest and then get a ride over to Napa airport to pick this beauty up and flew it down the California coast. Since we had an early start we really wanted to eat something along the way but as it turns out, finding airport restaurants is getting harder and harder. We first stopped in Half Moon Bay but unfortunately there was no food there, so we continued further south to Monterey for some really delicious burgers. We then headed off to our final destination - OCR AVIATION in Long Beach.
I personally really like this 182 King Katmai conversion. It's relatively fast, it's got 4 seats, good useful load and very good STOL performance. This is a great airplane for the occasional backwoods' pilot. The upgraded avionics and the low total time on the airframe make this airplane feel almost like a brand new 182, and personally as I mentioned in the video, I would prefer this over a new 2022 Cessna 182.
