After watching this video you won't have the nerve to have another pity party when things don't go your way. I know I won't. This is the story of a man, Derec, whose entire life was changed in an instant. He went from being a law enforcement officer to being confined to a wheelchair without the use of his legs. Despite this, he went on to obtain a college degree and then a law degree!!

Derec and his wife Tanya bought a cargo van and had it retrofitted to accommodate a wheelchair and allow Derec to operate it by hand. They have devoted themselves to showing others with traumatic injuries or physical limitations that life doesn't have to stop and a full and satisfying life of adventure and joy is still possible.

To this end, Derec and Tanya are launching a special project coming along side individuals as mentors and producing a pamphlet/handbook to assist folks who are newly confined to a wheelchair to access resources and services from the start instead of spending months or even years searching for them. Be prepared to be inspired as you hear their story.
