Adding a Step into our Roof Deck (Part 5) + Prepping to Paint!
After we finish the 4th (and final) section of the roof deck, we make an upgrade by adding a top step where the ladder will be! Actually, we intended to do this from the start, but it slipped our minds as we became overwhelmed by the enormity this whole project. This being the 5th video in our roof deck series, I suppose you already figured that out! It was a lot more cutting, grinding, welding, and more grinding, then turning over... rinse, repeat. I've lost track of how many times we've carried these 8x10' steel frames in and out of the garage! After one last modification, we finally get them washed with an excellent de-greaser (from Harbor Freight) in preparation for priming and painting! Come back next week for another exciting episode in the continuing 40ft Roof Deck Saga!!!

About Us:
Hi! We are Mike & Kerry, the proud owners of a 1992 Bluebird rear engine (pusher), 40' school bus! We named her Bussy McBusface in honor of the RRS Boaty McBoatface travesty!
We're building a Tiny-Home-in-a-Bus for full-time living in the most adventure-friendly way possible! In other words, Bussy will not be parked in our driveway, waiting for weekend or holiday getaways... when we finish the build, we'll be packing everything we're keeping into the bus and driving away from this old house forever!
We plan to be boondocking the majority of the time, so you'll see that reflected in our choices throughout the build (100 gallon water tank, composting toilet, solar power system, etc). We'd love to have you stick around and follow us on our journey, throughout the Skoolie Build, and to Infinite Adventures Beyond!
