The Eight-fold Path of Buddhism is not objective moral absolutes but rather guidelines for life and for reaching enlightenment.  Having said that, even the Eight-fold Path of Buddhism would have still left Juliana guilty of failing that standard since lying and stealing (even your thoughts and desires count) would have still been considered wrong.  That’s because God’s laws are written in people’s hearts.  There are many obvious differences between the Eight-fold Path of Buddhism and the 10 Commandments.  Firstly the 10 Commandments are commandments and not guidelines. Secondly, the 10 Commandments are God’s law which is a reflection of God’s absolute moral goodness.  Since God is morally perfect He is bound by the letter of this law to punish those who break them.
