Claremont, MS Tornado 12-23-15

Video of the tornado that formed SW of Clarksdale MS on December 23, 2015 at about 3:02 PM. We spotted it shortly after the EBS was activated. The travel path started somewhere around Duncan,MS and traveled ENE towards Claremont, MS where it took out about 15 power poles and a cropdusting airfield on HWY 49. This tornado continued on to the northeast to pass through Como, Mississippi and destroy several homes in Holly Springs, Mississippi. About 7 people were killed between Mississippi and Tennessee due to this tornado. The path is approximately 160 miles long!

At 6:13 in the video, a second funnel formed behind the first as it crossed HWY 49.
At 7:58, you can see a few of the approximately 15 power poles that were knocked down.
At 8:56, we begin to pass by Shannon Field that was completely destroyed.

This could be the longest continuous December tornado on record in the Mid-South:
