The Cost of War

The Army Special Forces Community has seen more war and loss than any other Special Operations Force during the 20 year war. While we thought “ending” the war would fix these problems, we see now that we ended the Warrior’s purpose – the only motivator most Warriors have ever known. A battered, war-torn warrior who has lost his purpose is the perfect storm…and WHAT a catastrophic storm it has turned out to be - one full of suicide and despair.

The Special Forces Charitable Trust is charged with filling in the gaps of support that the government cannot or will not provide to the Special Forces Community. Leadership of the Community will be first to tell you that the gaps are many and they are wide when it comes to addressing suicide. They must lean on organizations like ours to answer the need.

Thus our Suicide Prevention Program was launched on May 19, 2022. It is called Beyond the Battlefield. There are three pillars, - S.O.S. - Small Group Synergy, One on One Anonymous Therapy and Sponsored Treatments & Services. We invite you to take a look and learn more!
