IL-2 Sturmovik | Me-410 Bomber Intercept with BK5

The Me-410 has been released and from the bit of flying with it, I have mixed feelings for it. It has great firepower, but that's already about it, you cannot really run, roll and turn. I've had about a dozen tries at a bomber intercept sortie with it and most of them ended up in flames. It's a challenge not to die with the Me-410, and that makes it fun!

In this short sortie, I was part of a flight that was tasked with intercepting some RAF bombers. We took off with 8 aircraft, and returned with one damaged and one undamaged aircraft, 6 of us were shot down.

The flight was armed with 2 additional MG-151 in the bomb bay, I on the other hand got the BK5 and additional armor. And as you can see, using the BK5 is a bit tricky but oh boy does it hit hard.
