Fred Bear Hunting Indian Style with Jim Henderson 1943

This video is a silent film that was created by my Grandfather, Jim Henderson, during a 1943 Moose Hunt in Canada; with his life long friend Fred Bear. Fred Bear was the founder of Bear Archery as well as the Detroit Archery Club. This footage was originally shot on 8mm film and later converted to VHS and ultimately DVD. it has never been seen publicly before now.

UPDATE: Today I was watching an interview that Fred Bear gave as part of the "Fred Bear Collection, Disk TWO, History of Bear Archery" - and he started talking about how he came into making movies. This video was he first video that Fred ever shot as a movie, it was this hunt that he used in the Outdoor Life Article "Jim's First Moose".

The Moose is still hanging on the wall today - and the Black Bear is in the Fred Bear Museum Collection at the Headquarters of Bass Pro Shops.
