Capoeira in the Movies

Capoeira is a Brazilian martial art that is disguised as a dance back when it was created in the 17th Century from slaves as a means of self-defense. The style has been used in films and thus, this tribute was created.

Now, there were many that use capoeira in the fight choreography. These select clips bring more of a highlight use of the style with the final clip "Get Hard", having a bit of comedy in it, but it is Will Ferrell's character who trains in the art, therefore it is included here.

Some of the performers in this tribute include Mark Dacascos, Joselito "Amen" Santo, Cesar Carneiro, Ailton Carmo and Lateef Crowder dos Santos.
