Lavochkin La-5 (Лавочкин Ла-5) Soviet WW2 Fighter Ace, Popkov, SkyMax 1:72 Diecast Model

The Lavochkin La-5 (Лавочкин Ла-5) was a Soviet fighter aircraft of World War II. It was a development and refinement of the LaGG-3, replacing the earlier model's inline engine with the much more powerful Shvetsov ASh-82 radial engine. During its time in service, it was one of the Soviet Air Force's most capable types of warplane, able to fight German designs on almost equal footing
Vitaly Ivanovich Popkov (Russian: Виталий Иванович Попков; 1 May 1922 – 6 February 2010) was a Soviet fighter pilot who became a flying ace during the Second World War. During the war, he was credited with around 40 aerial victories for which he was twice awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union.

Today's example is from SkyMax Models. It is 1:72nd scale and made of diecast with plastic accessories. The model is of the Lavochkin La-5 Soviet Air Force 5th GIAP, as flown by Vitaliy Popkov, Eastern Front, Autumn 1944. It is made very well with good detail.
