STEPS VII: A community initiative to design the pathway to a long-term remission of HIV infection
This year, the seventh STEPS community-led workshop on HIV cure research took place one day before the EACS conference on October 26.
The STEPS workshop is organised by the European AIDS Treatment Group (EATG) and brings the contributions of prominent researchers in the field of HIV cure-related research in Europe to the Community and other stakeholders collaborating in this area. This year the meeting focused on promising approaches for potential cure applications and upcoming trials for therapeutic vaccines.
The meeting was attended by a wide range of participants, including community advocates, academic researchers, healthcare professionals, industry partners who joined the discussion on research for long-term drug-free remission of HIV infection and its potential implications.
