Why the Midland MXT500 Is The WORST 50 WATT GMRS RADIO for REAL GMRS USERS! | 4K

Not only is the Midland MXT500 one of the most overhyped GMRS radios, it's also one of the most overhyped products in the outdoors, offroad, and overlanding markets. I wanted to know if it lived up to the hype, so we bought one and tried it out. While it works great as a simplex two way communications device, it's lack of support for extra channel storage, lack of dual monitoring, lack of UHF/VHF listening, lack of tone scanning... well general lack of features at all means it's impossible to justify its $400 price tag. If you are serious about wanting to get the best experience out of your $70 GMRS license, than this is the worst possible radio you could buy.
