Week Recap: Combine Inspection, Splitting Firewood, & Paperwork

Somehow this week seemed really slow and really busy all at the same time if that makes any sense. We had both my dad’s and neighbor’s combines in the shop to be inspected by the John Deere guy, and he was there for three days going through both of them, making a list of everything that needed fixed or replaced, and marking said problems with tape to make it easy for us. While he was doing that, we wanted to get out of his way so he could do his thing without any distractions, so we split wood for a couple days. It’s a good thing I enjoy cold weather because it’s the coldest it’s been all winter.....perfect for working outside. I’d rather split wood outside when it’s freezing than sweltering hot though. The guys started working on the combines on Thursday, and I started going through some paperwork from last year to put it away for the year. Overall, it was a pretty good week!
