Sometimes a random Twitter troll slams a famous relationship. And sometimes, somebody in a celeb's inner circle tries talking them out of their latest love affair. What a tangled web! Here are some celebs who were warned about their significant others… but ignored the haters and followed their hearts.

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have dated off and on since 2015.

As of the making of this video in August 2020, the couple is expecting their first child together, so hopefully their latest reconciliation will also be their last.

Of course, most people know having a kid isn't the way to solve your relationship woes. And if reports can be believed, the Hadid family isn't exactly sold on Zayn as a son-in-law. According to one tabloid, Hadid's family is urging her not to rush too quickly into marriage with Malik. A shadowy source who's supposedly close to Hadid told Life & Style:

"It's all so sudden — especially given Gigi and Zayn's volatile history. Her mom, Yolanda, is urging Gigi not to jump into anything and to wait until after the baby is born. She's wary of Zayn, and who can blame her? She witnessed first-hand the heartache and tears he caused her daughter in the past."

Right now, it's unclear whether the model will heed her family's advice. According to the same shadowy source:

"Gigi has told her loved ones that she couldn't be happier about the pregnancy. She says her relationship with Zayn is stronger than it's ever been."

In June 2020, Zayn seemed to hint that he was planning to pop the question. His friend George the Jeweler shared a photo in a since-deleted Instagram Story, which revealed a new tattoo on the singer's left forearm. It prominently featured several lines of poetry about marriage. So… make of that what you will.
