Mackie Thump Loudspeaker Series Overview | Power & Clarity
The Mackie Thump series has become synonymous with everything you’re looking for in great sounding loudspeakers. The latest generation of Thump includes the Thump212 and Thump215 models, the Thump212XT and 215XT models and two subwoofers, Thump 115S and Thump 118S. We invited Mackie's senior product specialist Brad Gagné to give us a deep dive of all the new features and DJ/producer Jansport J to give us his real-world first impressions.
Redesigned from the ground up, Mackie’s Thump series has a number of performance-oriented upgrades and user experience enhancements. Boasting an impressive 1,400 watts of Class D power, these are the loudest Thumps yet. But they’re not just louder—Mackie worked overtime to ensure that the latest Thumps have an inherent clarity and musicality to their performance, no matter how hard you push them. Mackie’s latest evolution of Thump has also added automated feedback elimination and music ducking, offering the peace of mind you need to focus on what matters: your set.
If you’re looking for even more control over your sound, check out the innovative ThumpXT models. Choose between four different voicing modes (Music, Live, Club and Monitor) to tailor ThumpXT’s performance to your unique needs. Taking your set outside? Press the “Outdoor” button and ThumpXT will re-voice itself to provide the same type of performance you’d expect indoors. Bluetooth connectivity offers users the ability to stream their music wirelessly, switch voice modes and more via the Thump Connect 2 App.
Bringing your sound anywhere has never been easier with the new Thump series. Built with new polypropylene bodies, the latest evolution of Thump is lightweight and ultraportable, while the ergonomic handles on the 15” and 18” subwoofers make transport easier than ever.
