How to: WET LOOK EFFECT - Slick Back Hairstyle | Stella

The wet look effect - yes you heard right. We intentionally want to look like a wet chicken. But one of those sexy, sleek wet chickens.

Worn by models and celebs including Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner and many others, it is classic and simple but it has a certain dominant elegance to it, that just really gives you that boss lady effect. Clearly its a stella favourite.

Starting off with the TONI&GUY Heat Protection Spray, I sprayed a bit of that on the ends of my hair in preparation for the next step.
Straightening.
I took my straightener and simply straightened my hair, following normal procedures except for the sides of my hairline, which I straightened backwards, as well as the top half of my hair. This ensures that the hair doesn't part in any direction. blowdrying it backwards works better.

Then taking the TONI&GUY Wave Memorising Balm, I added a generous amount to the top section of my hair and worked it through. Although this isn't what the balm is used for, it works well because it doesn't dry too quickly but it holds the shape very well.

For added shine I then took TONI&GUY Radiating Tropical Oil, and added it to the ends. Yes they still look fried but I damaged my hair beyond the point of return. Oopsies.

Finally, to seal it all in, The TONI&GUY Flawless Sleek Creation Hairspray to make it durable even in the presense of a hurricane. Better safethan sorry you know.
