I have a special connection to skilsaws since they have been one of my most important tools for the last 40 years as a builder. This saw has inspired dozens of copycat designs, many of which are fantastic. This is the first time I am handling and getting a look at the new generation of this legendary tool.

I will use this saw for the house build project, and give a full review of my experience with it after at have some miles on it.

Yes - this saw is made in China - but that is nothing new. In fact, the Mag 77 i'm comparing this to in this video was also made in China, and it has been a great tool. I don't spend time in this video going through the transfer of manufacturing from the US to to China :( just tried to stay focused on the saw here.
