How we Installed a Victron Battery Monitor (BMV-712) in our Tab 400

Today I’m going over the install I did of a Victron Smart Battery Monitor (BMV-712) into our 2020 T@B 400 made by nuCamp. I’ll cover the reason why you want to upgrade the battery monitor from the stock one, how to install this Victron model (and how to configure it) and why I chose this specific one.

Tail current: 2.00%
Charged Detection Time: 3m
Peukert Exponent: 1.12
Charge Efficiency Factor: 97%
Current Threshold: 0.10A
Time-to-go Averaging Period: 3m
