Weather: UK could rival European holiday destinations like Barcelona amid climbing temperatures

Scotland has hit the jackpot with the warm weather since the start of the month. We are less than a week into May but have already enjoyed a mini heatwave, albeit with a slight break in proceedings over the bank holiday weekend.

The weather seems to be picking up again now, with sunshine and temperatures in the high teens for many parts of the country for the rest of the week. Scots from Glasgow to Inverness may enjoy a welcome 20C around Friday.
