Removal of an old bass bar from a violin & cello

Here you can see the removal of an old bass bar in a violin & a cello. These two bass bars have never been fitted to the top plate but worked out of the solid timbers when the instruments were made. There will be a follow-up which will show how to prepare, find location, fit and glue a new bass bar.
