WATINA - Tribute to Andy Palacio

Andy Palacio, thru his Garifuna Music, became Belize's most internationally acclaimed musician. His European tour with the Garifuna Collective Group was highly credited as among the best music of 2007. Watina appeared on dozens of Best Of The Year lists in major media outlets around the globe and was roundly praised in glowing terms, being nominated for the influential BBC Radio 3 World Music Award. The success and world acceptance of his music let to Andy being recognized by UNESCO as an Artist For Peace. Andy was also conferred the Order Of Meritorious Service by Belize's Prime Minister.
