Project 2000 Lifting Bed - Ford Transit Minibus Conversion

In this episode we tackle the most important part of the van conversion - the bed! We opted for a lifting bed system in our van, to maximise space whilst giving us a fixed bed and a large living area underneath.

We went for a great system called the Project 2000 bed-lift, an Italian design. We decided to make it more complicated, but a bit cheaper by building our own bed-frame, and through some clever design and some pro-rate engineering consultancy were able to completely hide the motor!
