Installing 3D Wall Panels DIY | The Carpenter's Daughter

Hi everyone,

So after last week's rough plastering video, I shared with you how I roughly plastered a wall (https://youtu.be/Wiz2cNP0hb4). But today I'm finally showing you how I installed these stylish 3D wall panels. My home feels like the show home I never had!

Here's my blogpost with photos of how it turned out
http://bit.ly/2w1CB9W

I'd originally got a quote a few months back of over £300 to plaster these areas and some chased cables and couldn't believe what figure I heard. My parents pay £80 a whole wall and some of you tell me you pay £120 a day.

So I started to think about DIY options, like a palette effect, mosaic tiles or anything that I knew would make features out of them. But then I was given the option to review some 3D wall panels by ManoMano which couldn't've worked out any better for me. (Note this is NOT a sponsored video).

I took a while deciding on the pattern as there's loads to choose from. But my spaces were awkward and by chance, one wall was bang on a perfect fit, and the other area needed a little bit of trim.

Note, they're not fire retardant. They're made from bamboo pulp, so you really need to think about whether it's safe in your home, but I'm in a bungalow with easy access to outside from every room. But I NOT a health and safety expert.

So here it is if you want to know how to fit them, or just weigh them up to see if they're right for you and I hope it helps!

Here's the manomano site if you want to check them out: http://manomano.co.uk/
