In This Video I have explained the History and Law of LBW in detail.

Rules of Cricket are simple but some of the rules of cricket are complex and LBW is one of them. In this video, I have described the history of LBW law and its evolution and then I have explained the current LBW Law in detail
LBW Law is the LAW 36 in the MCC LAWs of Cricket. It has 5 main points.
1. The Ball should not be a No-Ball.
2. The ball should not pitch outside the leg stump
3. The ball should not touch the bat before the pad
4. Impact should be in line with the stumps if the batsman is playing a shot
and If the batsman is not playing a shot then the impact can be out side the off stump or in line with the stumps
5. The ball should hit the wickets
Remember that there is no 2.5 meter or 3 meter rule in LBW. It is only in DRS or UDRS in which due to the technology error the 2.5 meter and 40 cm rule is introduced.
DRS, Hawk Eye, Hotspot and Snikometer are used in it,
