30 kilos of steel. Blunt weapons. Full-force takedowns. No choreography.

30 kilos of steel. Blunt weapons. Full-force takedowns. No choreography.

This is Buhurt, a regulated full-contact combat sport where men and women fight in real steel armour.

There is no other team combat sport that works like this.

At first glance, it looks like chaos. But look closer and you start seeing the fight IQ underneath it.

The weapons are blunted for safety, but blunt does not mean soft. Axes, maces, and halberds are used to disrupt rhythm, break posture, create openings, and force reactions under pressure.

Winning is not about landing a clean touch. It is about endurance, control, balance, and overpowering the opponent until their structure fails.

Buhurt uses combat logic found across mixed martial arts: judo-style throws, wrestling pressure, clinch control, striking mechanics, footwork, timing, and body positioning.

Movement matters. Hits matter. Grips matter. Throws matter.

A fighter has to use the opponent’s weight against them while staying in control of their own, all while carrying armour that can weigh over 30 kilos.

That is what makes it so difficult to understand from the outside, and so impressive when you know what to look for.

The moves are calculated. The chaos is not random.

Every step costs energy. Every grip has weight behind it. Every strike is used to create pressure, disrupt balance, or open a takedown.

In team fights, that pressure multiplies.

Fighters hold the line, isolate opponents, create numbers advantages, break formations, and do everything within the rules to make the opponent kneel.

A fighter is eliminated the moment a third point of contact hits the ground. A hand, knee, or torso is enough.

That is why the fall matters more than the hit.

No other team combat sport combines weapons, grappling, takedowns, armour, formations, endurance, and elimination rules like this.

This is not fencing for points.

This is armoured combat as a modern fight sport: impact, cardio, clinch work, weapon pressure, body control, teamwork, and calculated violence under the weight of steel.

This is Buhurt.

Full-contact armoured combat. Zero choreography.
