Starting from January 1st for about 10 days the entire nation of Russia shuts down to go new year’s crazy! No one ushers in the new year quite like Russians do and in the capital they certainly do it in style. In this episode Tim visit’s Ded Moroz’s village to get magical help to make this a true VIP holiday event. From there he is whisked away to the Moscow Curling Club to give this unique sport a try. From there he feasts on amazing Russian food at the Uhvat Restaurant. From there he takes a nighttime Icebreaker Boat Tour along the Moscow river past Putin’s turn in the Kremlin. Tired he stays at the Metropol hotel in pure luxury then wakes up the next day to play hockey with NHL legend Alexei Yashin right on Red Square. From there it is on to the ballet at the State Kremlin Palace to see the Nutcracker. Prima Ballerina Katya gives Tim an inside look at all it all goes down. After the performance Tim heads to the Insight Restaurant to wait for the clock to strike 12 in pure elegance.
Question to the audience! Tim does one horribly anti-Russian thing in this video can you spot it? What was it, and why would it offend or anger Russians? We await your response.
