Taiwan holds five-day war games in simulated China assault

Soldiers in Taiwan have taken part in a five-day live-fire drill that simulated a coastal assault by China. The exercise involved fighter jets, warships and ground troops as well as 8,000 service personnel. Taipei has faced the threat of a Chinese invasion since the two sides split in 1949 after a civil war
