2015 THROWBACK: MINNESOTA MAN "WEEKEND AT BERNIE'S" HIS OWN MOM TO WITHDRAWAL MONEY FROM HER BANK!

PLYMOUTH, Minn. — Investigators are trying to determine whether a Minnesota man’s 90-year-old mother was already dead when he wheeled her into a bank to withdraw money from her account.

According to KMSP, David Vanzo is being investigated for elderly neglect and financial exploitation.

Police found his mother, Caryl Vanzo, dead in the Plymouth, Minn., home they shared. She was covered in urine and feces.

Vanzo was charged with criminal neglect and has since denied those accusations.

Police also found that just six hours after Vanzo reported his mother’s death, he took her to the bank and withdrew $850 from her account. Bank employees told police the woman’s feet were dragging under the wheelchair and she wasn’t moving.

Vanzo was previously investigated for neglect. A warrant showed that he took out a reverse mortgage on their home and spent $100,000 in just two months. He is also accused of siphoning money from his mother’s bank accounts and retirement funds, spending the money on porn and gambling.

Authorities are still trying to determine whether the woman was dead when her son brought her to the bank. A medical examiner determined the woman had been dead between 4 and 6 hours before police arrived.

Vanzo is being held on a $500,000 warrant.
