Historic boat faces uncertain future in Sydney harbour | 7NEWS

Authorities have given the owners of a historic but derelict boat moored in Sydney Harbour just days to come up with a plan to safely tow it to dry dock. The 2,000-tonne vessel, the MV Cape Don, was commissioned in 1962 and used to supply lighthouse installations off Australian coasts. The owners, the Sea Heritage Foundation, are working to repair the ship, but maritime officials have placed an unsafe vessel notice, providing a 28-day timetable for a repair plan or risk the ship being seized.
