Gmunden June 2018

A ride on 14th June 2018 on the very small tramway at Gmunden in Austria. The line connects the town with the railway station, climbing steeply about 2km from the lakeside after leaving Franz Josef Platz. Work is underway to connect the line across the Riven Traun to a light rail line to Vorchdorf and when this is complete at the beginning of September 2018 the exisiting high floor bogie cars will give way to modern articulated trams. The video shows Gmunden 7 which was built in 1953 for the Vestische Strassenbahn of Reckinghausen in Germany.
